Joomla 1.6

RBPro was originally a Joomla 1.0 app and the Joomla 1.5 version still uses 'Legacy' code within Joomla 1.5.
With Joomla 1.6 they have removed all legacy code so RBPro 1.3.x cannot run on Joomla 1.6.


RBPro 2.0
The primary goal of RBPro 2.0 is to run on both Joomla 1.5 and 1.6.
To that end RBPro is being re-written as a MVC (Model-View-Controller) application which will use no J1.0 legacy code.

I am taking this opportunity to re-sync the feature set with ABPro so RBPro 2.0 (both the J1.5 and the J1.6 versions) will have lots of new functionality.

• UTF-8 support for multi-language sites
• Language files for front and back end.
• Sub-Categories
• Edit UDF data in the booking detail screen
• WYSIWYG editor for messages text
• Mail functions will use JMail
• Configurable Front-end Advanced Admin tabs
• Extras accessible via Front-end Advanced Admin
• Include .ics attachment with confirmation email to put appointments into MS Outlook (coming in alpha 4)
• Resource specific PayPal account setting, the PayPal account to receive payment can be set at the resource level. (coming in alpha 4)
• PayPal timeout [optional], will release locked booking times after x minutes. Used to free resources when customer bails out of PayPal without paying (coming in alpha 5)
